Arbitrum has stated on their official Twitter account that they will distribute the initial tokens to eligible DAOs in the ecosystem this week.

The Protocol Consortium, a group of stakeholders, contributes Ethereum, as previously mentioned in the Arbitrum Foundation documentation. A different distribution has been allocated for DAOs building applications in the ecosystem. The protocol collaborates with Nansen and looks at data on the chain to figure out how many tokens each DAO community gets.

Currently, the majority of DAOs have made public the addresses of their intended recipients for the ARB airdrop. The protocol will begin testing transactions that make their vault wallets available to the public today. This weekend, the distribution will continue and the protocol will continue to wait for some DAOs to provide their addresses.

These tokens cannot be used to vote in any snapshot proposal that is currently being considered. This token distribution—1.13% of the initial token distribution—is not a grant.

Neither the Foundation wallet nor the Arbitrum DAO treasury are responsible for this allocation. It is a component of the initial token distribution that will not be distributed until all DAO treasury wallets have been gathered and verified.
