The project’s community was initially thrilled, but their joy was short-lived when a user revealed on Discord that Shibarium’s code had been lifted verbatim from Rinia, a different project. Even the development team was so careless as to leave the chainID alone.

Developers and other prominent members of the community were quick to address concerns by denying them.
