According to tweets from on-chain sleuth ZachXBT, the exploiter had previously given the DeFi lending protocol 3,000 ether (ETH) worth approximately $5.4 million.
According to reports, an attack has occurred against Euler Finance, a DeFi protocol that provides services for on-chain lending. BlockSec, a company that protects blockchains, monitored the situation and believes that the attack may have resulted in the theft of more than $197 million. $136 million of staked ether (stETH), $34 million of USDC, $19 million of wrapped bitcoin (WBTC), and $8.8 million of DAI were stolen from the Euler protocol by the attacker.

Euler Finance responded by offering the attacker a 10% reward (roughly $19.7 million) in exchange for the return of the remaining 90% of the stolen funds.
